Shawn has been the head coach at ACP for the last 3 years. Under his coaching, the team is coming off of their most successful season yet. In 2022, they made the 3A State Playoff for the first time in school history.  Before making the switch from baseball to softball, Coach Curbello coached baseball for 20 plus years. From little league, club/travel ball to high school.  Coach Curbello has won several season championships and was head coach for several little league all-star teams where he won several championships in club/travel ball. he was also the assistant to two very successful high school baseball programs. 

 

Shawn was born and raised in Arizona, graduated from Blue Ridge High School, Pinetop, AZ  in 1988 where he played football and baseball. He was part of the 88 state championship football team. Blue Ridge is also where he met, Lanie, his amazing wife of 33 years. 

 

When he is  not coaching softball, you can find him spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids. His hobbies include archery, hunting, fishing, camping and pretty much anything outdoor related.  He also spends a lot of time attending different sporting events from, Diamond Back games, Cardinal games, to his absolute favorite college softball. 

 

Coach Curbello is  super excited and feels blessed to be the ACP Softball Head Coach. He knows that this is an amazing sport, and there are an amazing group of young ladies in the program.
