Coach Carson Sundem enters his fourth year at Arizona College Prep from Higley High School and has an Arizona State University graduate with a B.S. degree in Business Entrepreneurship. Carson is passionate about coaching kids from the beginning stages through their competitive swimming experiences. He has coached swimming for 6 years for many youth teams. Coach Sundem has found his niche in developing high school level athletes to excel in the pool and the weight room. Coach Carson Sundem received the AZ Central 2023 Men's Swimming Coach of the year award after winning his second State championship.

Carson was a two-year captain on his swim team at Higley High School. During his high school swimming career, he held ten school records and medaled at the Arizona DII State Championships during his senior year. He also swam competitively for Mesa Aquatic Club during his high school years. In addition, Carson played volleyball and was a state champion during his junior year at Higley.

Outside of coaching, Carson spends his time working in Real estate with the Viking Team in the East Valley of Arizona. Carson enjoys working out during his free time. On weekends you can find him serving at Rock Point Church in the High School Ministry leading a group of Junior boys.
